That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Memories ｢転生したらスライムだった件 魔王と竜の建国譚, Tensei sh*tara Slime Datta Ken: Maō to Ryū no Kenkoku-tan｣ is a 3D battle RPG. This game is developed by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc., WFS. The game features an opening theme song titled "Phantom Lights" performed by Takuma Terashima and animated Eight Bit. The game's "genre" is the "Nation Building 3D Battle RPG" ｢異世界最強体験× 建国 × ３ＤバトルＲＰＧ｣ This game is free and available on the Apple App Store & Google Play Store. The game was officially released on October 27, 2021; was available to be played the following day.^[1] On November 17, 2021, the game officially reached 1.5 million downloads globally.^[2]

Story[]

The main story follows that of the anime.

Original Story[]

Aside from that, there are original stories made specifically for the game under the supervision of the original author, Fuse.

1. On the way to Dwargon, Rimuru looks at their reflection in a puddle and finds themself transported to a different place. They are then confronted by a different Gobta & Ranga. Gobta's counterpart, named Vajra, had evolved into a lightning ogre after absorbing black lightning from the direwolves while Ranga's counterpart had evolved into a Guitar wolf after absorbing the power of sticky thread & steel thread. Initially confused, Rimuru fights and defeats the two. They consider absorbing them to analyze them, but the two are called back by an unknown entity. Rimuru is then ejected out of the mirror world and is unable to remember the events.
2. After absorbing Shizu, Rimuru looks in a puddle and finds themself transported back to the time Ifrit escaped Shizu. Rimuru suddenly remembered the last time they were transported and Great Sage deduces that they can only retain memories of the mirror world while inside of it. Rimuru approaches Shizu, who tells them to stay away, but Ifrit, having taken a new form, escapes Shizu. Realizing that another Shizu still exists inside of Rimuru, Ifrit attacks them, revealing that he can now manipulate both fire and ice, now known as Jinfrit. Rimuru manages to defeat him, but before they can absorb Jinfrit, the majin is called away and retreats. Rimuru then finds themself back in Tempest, forgetting the events that just transpired, meanwhile, a hooded figure observes Rimuru through a puddle.
3. An alternate version of Shion is shown after the destruction of the ogre village by the orcs. She converses with a hooded figure through a puddle of water who convinces her go give up her heart to increase her power.
   Meanwhile Rimuru, Shion, and Shuna are standing in front of a mirror (Shion & Shuna are trying to make Rimuru wear dresses) when they are pulled into the mirror world. Rimuru wonders how Shion and Shuna came with them this time, but they are confronted by a different Shion, who introduces herself as Dodomeki and antagonizes the group. A woman then appears and introduces herself as the witch Izis. She then goes on to explain the nature of the mirror world, a place based on people's ideas of the strongest versions of themselves. The witch then reveals that her actions have been motivated by an interest in Rimuru and orders Dodomeki to attack. Shion defends Rimuru, but Dodomeki mocks Shion & Shuna for becoming subordinate to a slime while the orcs are still alive. Shuna attacks her but, Dodomeki keeps regenerating, revealing that her body contains the souls from all the deceased ogres and fights the two kijin. Dodomeki is powerful enough that Rimuru decides it would be best for Shion & Shuna to retreat, but Izis erects a barrier of mirrors to stop them. Dodomeki then fires off her Might Soul Glare attack, which reflects off the mirrors and hits Rimuru. Rimuru decides to defeat Izis while Shuna restarts her fight with Dodomeki, but before they can continue, they are interrupted by a pink slime which then proceeds use 'Predator' on Dodomeki. Everyone is confused, however, Rimuru's group is suddenly transported back to Tempest and are left unable to remember the events.
4. Gabiru faces down the Orc Lord, realizing he will lose if things continue. Izis's voice comes out of the Vortex Spear and convinces him to assimilate with the spear to increase his power.
   Rimuru Shuna and Gobta are pulled back into the mirror world while inspecting the city's aqueducts. They are surprised to see and alternate version of Gabiru easily dispatch an Orc General. Great Sage informs Rimuru that this version of Gabiru had assimilated the vortex spear to mutate into a Dragonspear. this Gabiru, now named Trishula, challenges Rimuru, seeing no need for two rulers in the Great Forest. Trishula then stabs the ground, freezing it and the surrounding magicules, restricting some of Rimuru's skills. The two begin to fight and Rimuru notices that all of Trishula's attacks are piercing through their defenses. Great Sage points out that Trishula's unique skill, 'Spiral Body' adds a piercing attribute to all of his attack. Trishula brags, but Rimuru points out that while Gabiru might be weaker, he has people who support him and is a survivor. The two continue to fight and Rimuru comes out victorious, however Trishula refuses to admit defeat, unwilling to betray the expectations of those around him. The pink slime from before suddenly returns and uses predator on Trishula. After confirming Rimuru's identity, the slime tackles them, calling them her "Papa" and throwing them out of the mirror, and surprising Izis with her strength.
   Rimuru, Shuna, and Gobta return to Tempest with their only memories of the event being a feeling of tiredness. Souei then appears to tell Rimuru of a guest, causing the group to return to town. Once there, the pink slime from earlier is present and Rimuru says that they've never met another slime before. The slime realizes that Rimuru doesn't remember what happened in the mirror and calls Rimuru "Papa" much to their shock. She then introduces herself as Shinsha, Rimuru's daughter, much to everyone's shock. Great Sage notes that Shinsha's magicules are very similar to Rimuru's but it cant give a detailed analysis. Shinsha then transformed into her human form to show the similarities between the two. Rimuru, still confused, questions her and Shinsha reveals that she also has Black Flame. Rimuru tries to restrain her using Sticky Thread, but she uses her own sticky through to counter. She then creates a hand out of steel threads to capture him. Benimaru tries to step in, but she stops him with Black Lightning, having it travel through the steel threads to create an electromagnet. Shinsha reveals that she spent a lot of time figuring out how to catch Rimuru and she decided to combine multiple skills into her Jail Shake. Rimuru & Great Sage try to devise a strategy, but before they can come up with one, Shinsha states that she will take them back into the mirror with her. Rimuru asks about there and Shinsha admits that it is lonely. Rimuru, having escaped with a combination of shadow movement along with water & potions tells her she can live in Tempest. Shinsha leaves, telling Rimuru she will catch them again.
5. As Shinsha was upset about her recent encounter with Rimuru, Flashing back earlier Izis had her devour Vajra and Guitar wolf where Jinfrit refused to be her prey. Izis become fascinated with Shinsha where she learned to speak for the first time, Jinfrit would beg for mercy saying he can still fight before being devoured by Shinsha. Izis would explain Shinsha how she is getting more skills explaining she was made from Rimuru Tempest. Shinsha determined what Rimuru's gender is by visiting the hotspring where she sees Shuna and Shion fight over Rimuru making her think Rimuru is female, and later Rimuru in the men’s bath confusing her, there Great Sage (Shinsha's) said Rimuru is neither, As she goes over to devour many magical beasts she confirms each of the creature’s genders which devouring them. However when she was done she lost the mirror and Great Sage locates the closet location with a mirror at Englassia. Meanwhile inside of Shinsha's stomach Jinfrit knowing he can’t escape her stomach where he sees a shadowy figure of Veldora as he shakes in fear wondering what he doing in there as he says "Storm… Dragon!".
6. Shinsha explores Englassia learning about knowledge but deals with money problem and guards trying to capture her.
7. Izis now able to spawn her creations outside of the Mirror World summons in Kaleido sky to go aftet Rimuru while returning to Tempest but before being ambushed by Hinata but changes direction and head to Shinsha instead, Shinsha befriends the Otherworlder students and helps repair their weaponry before they were attacked by Kaleido sky. After defeating it Shinsha copies Chloe's mask to pose as a human after guards heard the comotion.
8. Shinsha encounters Falmuth's soldiers where she fights them after trying to capture her but even when she won and try to convince them to not attack Tempest. they still lied to her anyways.
9. When Izis tries to have Kokuyou assassinate a sleeping Rimuru during his Harvest Festival, Shinsha tries to stop him and fails but Diablo steps in and stops it from happening defeating Kokuyou, he was gonna kill Shinsha next until Izis manages to save her in the last second.
10. Izis makes a copy of Tempest out Shinsha’s dreams with help Mokshan and Emils. But Moskhan betrays Izis and forces her to ally with Rimuru to stop from him destroying the Central World. Eventually Moskhan was defeated and sent back to the Loup Loupe where Emils and rest of Mad City disappeared before Izis sends Rimuru and co back to the Central World. An short series also revealed Milim Nava was secretly participating in this event when she still pretending to be controlled by Clayman, she hides where he couldn’t track her where she had some run in with some Shinsha copies in Mad City before returning to the Central World and returning to her original mission.
11. Shinsha reawakens and Izis tricks Shinsha into helping her awaken Shinsha by creating Spiegel maidens to kill people for souls. Rimuru encounters some Maidens and after seeing Shinsha on it, Rimuru remembers everything that happened in the Mirror World thanks to Great Sage becoming Raphael and unsealing memories. Rimuru had Raphael analyze Izis' skills which would take about 49 hours to do. Izis got the required amount of souls but it turns out she will evolve first. Using Shinsha’s desire for family against her she asks her to stay with her before passing out.
12. After Rimuru Tempest defeats Clayman, Izis wakes up she forcefully undoes Unlimited Imprisonment on Veldora Against, a copy of Veldora created when Izis created Shinsha from Rimuru. Rimuru informs his subordinates on what happened and soon he went to the mirror world to rescue Shinsha with Veldora following. Veldora Against takes over Shinsha's body and tries to attack Rimuru and the original Veldora. However Rimuru used Shinsha’s desire and renamed her like he did with Gabiru accidentally. But as Rimuru tries to get Veldora Against out of Shinsha with Beelzebuth but Izis counters with a similar ability and his Magicules goes into Izis and evolved her further. They all leave the Mirror World but as Rimuru thought with Izis' goal gone she stops fighting but after everything she went through she decided to destroy them there and then and then go after the other Demon Lords who might cause trouble. However with Rimuru weakened it proved to be troubling but with Shinsha’s help they defeat Izis and seal Veldora Against back in Unlimited Imprisonment. Rimuru decided to let Izis leave and explore the Central World while Rimuru welcomed Shinsha to Tempest.
13. Shinsha would settle in her new life in Tempest where she meets Milim and sparred. However they seen heard of imposters of Gazel Dwargo, Carrion and Frey. They would find the village Izis was created from and Izis was attacked by her creator Cliché who revealed she created Izis to bring wishes of others at a price and sealed her in the Mirror World for safe keeping, waiting for her to grow powerful enough to escape on her own. Rimuru and Shinsha fight her but are outmatched due to her unique magic. After some convincing, Izis would live in Tempest for the time being and would start to gain emotions over time with people around her now that she isn’t lonely anymore. She helps recreate her copies of that she made before to help out. Shinsha would evolve into a Serpent Slime in a battle with Cliché.

Alterante Dark Timeline[]

• In Dark Horizon Event it shows an alternate timeline where Hinata manages to kill Rimuru during her ambush and it took him 3 years to regenerate. However by then it was too late and was revealed that those in the barrier were killed. Desperate, Rimuru pleads for help and Noir helps him out by suggesting him to become Demon Lord with Great Sage suggesting in using the souls of his fallen. After becoming a True Demon Lord Rimuru and his subordinates rampage across the world as payback with Veldora helping out once freed.

Gameplay[]

The game's main gameplay comes in 5 parts.

Establishing Tempest[]

Players are able to build their own version of Tempest using the game's Nation-Building System, building villages into towns and towns into cities as you progress through the story. Players can interact with other characters in towns as well.

Battles[]

The game recreates the characters of the series in 3D graphics. Characters can pull off various skills and finishing moves from the original series.

Predator Quests[]

In special 'Predator' quests, players will be able to use their 'Predation' skill to devour enemies unlike in standard quests, allowing players to acquire and improve their characters' skills!

Player Support[]

Great Sage, who aids Rimuru in the original story, acts as the main method of player support, helping the player along their quest.

Interact[]

The game also includes a feature allowing players to interact with other characters in voiced conversations, give them gifts such as food and make friends with them in-game.

• Most the original series stories are translated ok the original stories created for the game suffer from many translation errors as the following:
  • Portfolio is referred as an Skill not an arts
• Chloe Aubert and the Masked Hero are treated as separate characters in "interaction" feature, likely to prevent spoilers for those who seen only the Anime or Manga.
